White Town – Your Woman
Got addicted to this song from a Loveline bumper.
Brought to you by the original odd bunny
I woke up with this song stuck in my head for some reason. Never gets old.

I don’t know why, but ever since I heard Bollywood type music for the first time, I instantly liked it. I especially like this song and video, I should really see the movie it’s from.
Adam’s theme song. Leather jacket thrown over shoulder, shades on. Driving all the chicks wild and making all the dudes green with envy.
I was going to post a comment defending Adam over at this Salon news story, Adam Carolla, unfunny comedian thinks women aren’t funny, but I can never get my account to sync up to my Facebook to let me make posts. Basically I listed all of the humorless women Adam has been subjected to working with over the years, and a mention of dear old mom, the original unfunny woman explaining where Adam gets that comment from. The article’s author made a point of how Adam says Roseanne isn’t funny and she defends Roseanne by saying she made a lot of money (doesn’t mean she’s funny, though she is, just terrible logic on the journalist’s part). I just find it a strange comment since Roseanne is a huge misandrist. You can’t hate one and not the other if we’re going on principle. I happen to absolutely love both, go figure.
A user whose account did work pointed out that Adam has made it a point to say he holds conservative views, and given that it’s a very liberal website, he had a target on his back and it was inevitable that an article would be written. I think that person is probably right. Either way, some free publicity for the ace man. People who already disliked Adam were never going to change their mind since none of his fans care and neither does he, and maybe some old fans will hear that he’s still doing stuff and check out the new book.
I sometimes have my issues with Adam. It bothers me that Adam isn’t in therapy anymore. I think now that he has kids it’s even more important. I hope Dr. Drew being on the show more will result in him getting back into it. I still also think he married his wife just so he could have more fuel for his dislike towards that type of woman. I know we all complain about our partners sometimes, but I feel like it’s far too frequent for him, even with his hypervigilance and tendency to rant taken into consideration. He always ends his rants about her by saying she’s a good wife and whatever, but that’s just compartmentalizing. It doesn’t seem like he sees her as a true partner. I guess it must be hard to do that when you’ve always only had male sidekicks and business partners. And, of course, horrible mother sets men up for failure pretty easily. I completely understand why he holds these feelings, it’s just not healthy to keep believing them when you’re married.
Yeah, I like some dubstep stuff. I’ll listen to anything but ranchera music, have to draw the line somewhere.
My parents paid for myself and my husband to come visit them in Michigan, and to go to Traverse City together. It’s been really nice so far. Will be going back home tomorrow though, unfortunately.
We ate at a lot of lovely places; Xylo Bistro, the Omelette Shoppe, Harringtons by the Bay, and North Peak Brewing Company. I forgot to take photos at Harringtons, though.

I believe this is one of the surviving villas.

Despite the dilapidated appearance, the overgrowth of plants makes it seem almost charming.

I have to confess that I mostly like this because it reminds me of a Georgian Silent Hill setting

I envy the teenagers who live around here and can break into the old buildings and scare themselves at their leisure.
It really is a shame Bou left. I haven’t had the heart to listen to the two newer CDs ever since I heard the news.
One of the songs that The Cosby Show turned me onto.
