So I must be the only fan of high fantasy who has only just gotten into this series and it is just so amazing I can’t stop thinking about it. It doesn’t help that I caught a horrendous stomach bug so bad that I had to be hospitalized over night, I’ve even had feverish sexy-dangerous-medieval dreams.

I was a huge fan of LOTR when the movies came out. I had read the books a year or two before the movies came out. Whereas with this series, I’m still completely a newbie. I don’t know if I want to read the books, because the show is just so good. I think I can honestly say it’s the best TV show I’ve ever seen, if not the best ever made – it may not be fair to compare it to shows without outside source material, so the best based-on-a-book TV series (although those usually stink so that’s again not a fair comparison!) But having to wait months in between each season might just be too much. I might have to break down and buy them. The cost being nothing, and the time reading being little, not worried about that, I’m just worried my love will turn to criticism. Or it could turn into even more admiration for the series as a whole. Tough choices!

Needless to say, if you haven’t seen Game of Thrones, GO WATCH/READ IT RIGHT NOW! Sooooooooo good.

Cute song that I’ve got caught in my head.

I’m searching out new Korean, Japanese, Chinese pop-y rock-ish whatever music to listen to while I play TERA since I’m not satisfied with the decidedly dull and Americanized soundtrack. And I don’t want to just listen to the Ragnarok and Granado Espada soundtracks, I want a new experience with TERA.

Just uploading some screenshots of stuff while I wait for my husband to get back home with breakfast burritos. Playing MMOs with him is much more fun than soloing is now. Whereas I always used to want to solo in every game I played. I think it’s a sign of maturity.

My human slayer, Erszabet. She’s gorgeous, but I haven’t gotten her past level 3 yet.

My lancer, Avemaria. Adorable, and I’m slowly getting the hang of tanking in this game.

My priest, Paradiso, who is patiently waiting for me to get back to playing her.

A super awesome person made a single video of the two songs together, because there is an obvious connection between the two and it helps to better appreciate both songs.

This is my favorite Tool CD, and definitely one of my favorite CDs of all time. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to it.

I love all of the lyrics on this CD. Simple and yet complex depending on how far in you want to go. This song is about sexual intimacy, birth and/or death, a soul trapped in a physical body, embracing the beauty and pain of mortal existence and knowing immortality is waiting somewhere at the end.

Uploading some screenshots while I wait for the servers to be fixed. I can’t believe the nerdrage that surrounds MMO launches these days. Psychologists should really just hang out on these forums/Facebooks and find new patients that way.

Am conflicted about what to make my main. I much prefer playing a Castanic main in general, but I like the Mystic playstyle better…I think I will get both of them to 60 and then decide who to gear up first. I have a feeling judging them at level 26 is not giving me a completely accurate picture anyway.

Jean Paul Gaultier at the de Young Museum

When I was in San Francisco a few weeks ago, I saw a bunch of signs for JPG’s exhibit at the de Young and I knew I had to go see that. I’ve always appreciated what JPG does, even if it’s not my favorite show of the season, and it was a real pleasure to see those couture pieces in person. Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries halfway through the exhibit, but I got a few decent shots I think.

I found out about Daft Punk on the MTV show 12 Angry Viewers. Dating myself much? The consensus was that they thought Daft Punk’s Around the World song and video were awesome and very worthy of play on MTV.
